Judges

Stage 1

The first phase of judging of the Caribbean Business Awards entries is undertaken by an independent panel who will rigorously scrutinise and score entries.  Those with the highest scores are announced as the 2011 Country Finalists for the category entered. Each organisation reaching finalist status is then automatically submitted into the Caribe Palm of Excellence Awards to be awarded at the Caribbean Business Awards Gala Event in September.

Stage 2

The second phase of the Awards programme will involve judges evaluating all the Country Finalists and selecting the top companies to become the Caribe Palm of Excellence recipients in each category.

All Caribbean Business Awards Finalists will be invited to attend the Awards presentation ceremony where they will be honoured and the overall Caribe Palm of Excellence Award winners revealed in front of Caribbean businesses.

About the Judging Panels

Each panel consist of a panel of judges and will typically include financial experts, academics, practitioners in the subject matter, entrepreneurs and specialists from sponsoring organisations.

Judges are invited to participate in the Caribbean Business Awards based on their experience, business acumen and expertise. Each panel includes different nationalities and the judges are naturally well-versed in the cultural aspects of each of the finalist’s countries. The judges are fully independent and receive no personal or financial benefit from their participation, other than first-hand experience of finalists’ success stories, and the opportunity to influence, encourage and promote the highest standards of business.

Volunteer to be a Judge

Be the envy of your industry peers; help us shape industry standards. As a judge, you receive recognition as we publish your name and biographical details on our website.

Becoming a judge gives you an opportunity to choose those entrants who will be judged the best in the Caribbean.

To make this process thorough, all of our judges will be required to commit time to reviewing applications and providing feedback on entrants. All judges are required to commit up to 15 hours. In the event your commitments change, we are flexible and can re-allocate your tasks to others who are able to support the program.
